Hello "Riverdale" fans. As previously reported, we were able to get our hands on a lot of new season 2 scoop for your favorite show from the wonderful folks over at TV Guide. In the last article, we talked about all the drama that we're going to see take place with Archie's new darkside, Veronica and Jughead. We also threw in a little teaser spoiler for Betty. We do hope to get more on her later on.

More conflict

Anyways, in this article, we're going to finish up going over all the new scoops that TV Guide offered. We'll go ahead and start off with the arrival of Veronica's father, Hiram Lodge.

He was no where to be seen in all of season 1 because he was busy rotting away in prison. That's all going to change in season 2 as they tell us that he is going to finally show up on the scene in Riverdale and will bring more problems and conflict!

He's being played by actor Mark Conseulos. It's speculated that we'll probably see Hiram have some sort of conflict with just about everyone in the town so it sounds like his storylines will give us plenty of drama to look forward to. No doubt about it. They didn't offer up any other specific information about him other than that. However, we're sure we'll be hearing more about him in the weeks and months to come.

Get a love interest

Next up, they spilled some details about what we can expect to see from Josie who is the lead of the "Josie and The Pussycats" group.

She barely had any scenes in season 1. I mean she did show up a few times but she wasn't really involved in the main character's drama. They're telling us that's all going to change in season 2.

Josie's portrayer, Ashleigh Murray, talked with them and told them that we can expect to see her actually be involved in a lot of what the main four characters and Cheryl have going on.

She's going to get a love interest and she said it might be Reggie, the Asian jock dude. Wow! That's extremely interesting to hear. She capped off her interview by saying that there will be a lot going on with Josie in the new season and it certainly sounds like there will be.

Kevin's getting a new boyfriend

In this last set of spoilers, we got some stuff about gay Kevin.

The first thing they mentioned is that he's going to be getting a new boyfriend at some point. He's also getting bumped up to a season regular character. He was just a supporting character in the first season. This upgrade means he's going to get a lot more screentime. They definitely emphasize that he's going to move on from Joaquin, who he dated in the first season, and find somebody new to kiss up on. They didn't mention anything else that he'll be doing but I'm sure more will turn up in the coming weeks.

Hope for a full season

Also, as I mentioned in the last article, TV Guide said that season 2 is not currently scheduled to start up until the midseason for the 2017-2018 season. This means that we're only going to get another half season again.

It is still really, really early though and we haven't seen The CW release the official Fall 2017 schedule yet. We might see things change between now and then. Actually, thefutoncritic.com site has them listed as returning in the Fall 2017 so there's definitely still hope for a full season. Stay tuned.
