James Cameron has selected Cliff Curtis for the leading character in future “Avatar” films.
Though there is no information about the production date of sequels, the actor confirmed his presence through his Twitter account. Curtis is playing a significant role in “Avatar,” and the director chose him after seeing his performance in “Fear the Walking Dead.” The original movie was admired for its advancement in technology and visual effects and became one of the highest-grossing Hollywood films of all time.
Since then, the sequels are being talked about, but the release dates are unconfirmed.

Fox recently announced that the production of “Avatar 2,” “Avatar 3,” and “Avatar 4,” will begin by the end of this year. Besides Cliff Curtis, the studio has not revealed the names of other cast members.
Deadline reports that Cliff has landed the leading character in all of the sequels, which means he will play the leader of an underwater world, Tonowari, who tries to save the water species from possible threats. However, it is unclear whether his character will be a friend to the Omaticaya clan or not.
According to the actor, “Avatar 2” is scheduled for December 18, 2020, followed by “Avatar 3” on December 17, 2021. The fourth and fifth films will be released in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
