Before the fake news peddlers and rumor mills get totally out of hand, Katy Perry wants everyone to know she and Orlando Bloom have Split to get a little distance from each other, despite the fact they have been dating for more than one year. Naturally, the rumor mills went ballistic when the story hit the headlines, but the couple’s reps gave a joint statement to ABC News to put things right.
The last time Katy, 32 and Bloom, 40 were photographed together was on Sunday at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. According to their reps, both Perry and Bloom are focusing on their personal projects, with Bloom now being seen posting photos of his work with UNICEF.
While that is going on, Katy is busy promoting her new political single, “Chained to the Rhythm,” from her upcoming fourth album. Perry particularly promoted this new single at the recent BRIT awards, where she famously put on a stage show with a pair of dancing skeletons, wearing what looked suspiciously like the same clothes the U.S. President Donald Trump and U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May wore during the latter’s recent visit to the U.S. The two skeletons were surrounded by a bunch of dancing houses and much consternation was caused when one of these houses fell from the stage.

Katy Perry hints yet another new, politically-charged song
Perry recently went on to Instagram to tease another new and upcoming single, and fans immediately headed to Twitter to spread the news.
Reportedly the new single will also push her political focus. According to Entertainment Weekly, Katy was proudly pro-Hillary during the 2016 presidential campaign and will continue to show her feelings about the Trump administration.

While teasing said new track, Perry gave an 11-second preview, where she changed to the effect that no, she won’t apologize for her views, and she will definitely not subscribe, asking listening to not ask her to normalize, pretty much using the same anti-Trump language used by the U.S.
president’s critics in the past.
