Zsa Zsa Gabor died at the age of 99 on Sunday, December 18, 2016, and her adopted son died a week later. She and her husband, Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt, adopted ten adult males, including Oliver Prinz von Anhalt. The 45-year-old man was involved in a motorcycle accident on the same day his mother died. He was in a coma in a local hospital and passed away exactly one week later on Sunday, December 25.

Zsa Zsa's death

Gabor died from a heart attack, but she also suffered from coronary artery disease as well as cerebral vascular disease.

On the same day that the actress died, Oliver's motorcycle crashed into a vehicle. Because of his injuries, he was taken to a local hospital. He remained in a coma for seven days until he died. Therefore, he never knew his mother had died. Anhalt had no idea his son had been in an accident and was in a coma. He thought Oliver was in Germany. He was already grieving the death of his wife when the coroner called him on Monday night to give him the bad News about Oliver.

The Gabor sisters

Zsa Zsa would have turned 100 years old on her next birthday on February 6, 2017.

She and her two sisters were not only actresses, but they were Hollywood socialites. All three of them had been married multiple times. Zsa Zsa married nine times. Her second husband was Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton hotel chain. They were married for five years. She married and divorced actor George Sanders, who later married Zsa Zsa's older sister, Magda Gabor. Sanders was just one of Magda's six husbands.

The younger sister, Ava Gabor, was married five times. None of the sisters had children of their own.

The Gabor sisters were not the only ones who had multiple marriages. Zsa Zsa was Anhalt's seventh wife, and she was 26-years-older. They had adopted at least ten adult males. It must have been a terrible tragedy to experience the death of two family members within the span of a week, especially since Anhalt didn't know about his son's motorcycle accident until after his death.
