Tarek and Christina El Moussa may have separated from one another, but they are reportedly staying committed to HGTV. Although the couple recently confirmed plans to separate and reassess their marriage, a new report has revealed that their hit house flipping series, "Flip or Flop," will continue production as scheduled.

On December 12, following the announcement of the couple's separation, a TMZ report confirmed that HGTV had decided to move forward with the series, which means the El Moussas will have to continue to work with one another even after parting ways.

Christina El Moussa and husband Tarek separated 'earlier this year'

According to TMZ, the television couple has been separated for the past several months and their split was allegedly prompted by a bizarre incident involving Tarek and a gun. While there has been no confirmation in regard to an alleged suicide attempt, the report claimed Tarek bolted from his home with Christina in Orange County with a gun in hand, which led her to believe he was going to kill himself.

While there is reportedly plenty of tension between Tarek and Christina, HGTV said on Monday that they "will continue production as scheduled" when the time comes to begin filming season eight of "Flip or Flop." Sources close to the show informed TMZ that the plan for season eight was to continue showing the former couple working together, but at this point, no one really knows whether or not that will work. Also unconfirmed at this point is whether or not any of the former couple's marital issues will be featured on the series.

Tarek and Christina are staying quiet on social media so far

While the television stars both have Instagram accounts and a joint Facebook page, they have not yet released an official statement in regard to their separation and possibly impending divorce. In the meantime, fans will just have to keep guessing.
