"The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 8 is titled "Hearts Still Beating." The installment airs next Sunday on AMC Networks. What can "TWD" fans expect from the zombie apocalypse television show? Since it is the midseason finale, there will probably be at least one death. Something else will also happen that will keep fans talking until the series returns with the second half. The synopsis for the episode has been released. A promo clip and sneak peek also provide clues of what to expect.

'The Walking Dead' midseason finale synopsis

In episode 8, expect Negan to continue his psychological terror in Alexandria, especially when it concerns Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and Olivia (Ann Mahoney). Meanwhile, other members of the group will look for supplies. At the end of the synopsis, it states that things will get out of control quickly.

Negan takes over Rick Grimes' home

As "TWD" fans recall from last Sunday, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) came to visit Alexandria, using Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) as an escort.

So far, the villain has made Olivia (Ann Mahoney) uncomfortable and frightened. He also toured Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) home, sat on the porch with Carl, and held baby Judith. Next week, he will have what appears to be a family-type dinner with Olivia, Carl, and Judith. What is Rick going to think when he comes back and sees this?

Who will die in 'TWD' season 7, episode 8?

As with every season premiere and finale, everyone wants to know who will die on "The Walking Dead." Nothing has been confirmed, but there is a good chance it could be Spencer (Austin Nichols).

Last week, Spencer vented to Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) about Rick, Negan, and the Saviors. Father Gabriel defended Rick and then proceeded to walk instead of riding in the car. Also, Spencer and Rosita (Christian Serratos) had words about the situation. Just like in Robert Kirkman's comic books, Spencer thinks he can make a better leader than Rick.

Will Spencer try to make a deal with Negan?

In the comics, Spencer goes behind Rick's back and talks to Negan.

He offers him a deal and wants to have a leadership role. He calls Rick all sorts of names and claims he has an overinflated ego. Even though Negan and Rick are not friends, the villain doesn't take kindly to Spencer's underhanded way of trying to gain control. Negan ends up killing Spencer. It is quite possible that the same thing could happen in the TV show.

What do you think is going to happen in "The Walking Dead" midseason finale? Will Negan kill Spencer? Will someone betray Rick Grimes? What psychological game is the villain playing this time?
