Tarek El Moussa is on Instagram after announcing his shocking split from wife Christina, with whom he stars on HGTV's "Flip or Flop." Although the couple parted ways with one another back in May, they just announced their break-up to fans two weeks ago and ever since, rumors have been swirling as to what may have led to their decision to end their marriage.

After hitting the gym with his personal trainer, Quintin Tucker, El Moussa shared a video clip of himself working out on Instagram and revealed he had hit his goal of a 180-pound tricep extension.

He also admitted that during this time, which likely referred to his highly publicized split from Christina, being at the gym has really helped him.

"As you have seen on TV, I've been sick for years!" the "Flip or Flop" star wrote in the caption of his photo. The television star continued on, revealing that after dropping to 169 pounds from his regular weight of 235 pounds due to cancer, he experienced many physical struggles. He then told his fans and followers that no matter how tough their day is, they can always make tomorrow better.

Christina and Tarek were married for seven years

Christina and Tarek El Moussa called it quits on their marriage in May of this year after seven years of marriage and two children, 6-year-old Taylor and 1-year-old Brayden. Since then, they have both reportedly dated other people, although they have failed to reveal the identity of their potential new partners in the months since their split.

The 'Flip or Flop' couple continues to co-parent

While they are no longer together in a romantic sense, Christina and Tarek put their differences aside and celebrated Christmas with their kids days ago.
