Most of us know that with great power comes great responsibility. But, what many don’t know is that the first full trailer from Sony and Marvel’s upcoming movie “Spider-Man: Homecoming” premiered on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" this past Thursday. It gave viewers the first look at Tom Holland’s anticipated Spidey movie.

Who you can expect to see

In this new trailer we get a glimpse of many different characters that will be involved in this film. We get a preview of Michael Keaton’s wicked Vulture. Interesting, since the man recently starred in the Academy Award-winning film “Birdman” about a faded Hollywood actor best known for playing the superhero "Birdman.” From Birdman to Vulture it will be interesting to see how Keaton brings this villain to life.

Another character we get to see bring humor to the trailer is the always hilarious and ego-centric billionaire, Tony Stark, played by the charming Robert Downey Jr. And last, but certainly not least, we get to see the man of the hour, Tom Holland, the young hero who will be playing everyone's favorite, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Iron Man will play Spidey's mentor

We saw Iron Man and Spider-Man team up in "Captain America: Civil War," which was also our first glance at Tom Holland portraying the character in a humourous light. It seems Iron Man will be back once again, as Spidey becomes Tony Stark's protégée in the film, offering the young lad some advice. Tony tells him during one scene in a limo: “Just don’t do anything I would do.

And definitely don’t do anything I wouldn’t do." After some quick scenes of us seeing Tony tell Peter he is not ready to battle Vulture, Peter doesn’t want to listen and proclaims that he is tired of Stark treating him like a kid all the time. He is determined to prove himself. The film will also star Jacob Batalon as Ned, Peter's best friend, Laura Harrier as Liz (the girl Peter has a crush on), and the singer Zendaya as Michelle.

The movie will also be directed by Jon Watts.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” will swing into theaters on July 7, 2017. Check out the trailer now!
