Ok, so yep. We've got some bad news for all you "Supernatural" fans out there. It turns out that the new episode 9 of season 12 will require a lot of patience, because it won't be airing tonight and for many nights to come. The show did run into their midseason finale with the airing of last week's 8th installment. We've got the show scheduled to get back to new episode action way at the end of January 2017 with it landing on the 26th day in a new 7pm central time slot, so be sure to make note of that, so you don't miss out on the big return.

If you still want to tune in

As for tonight, CW is airing a rerun of "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" to take up the second half of Supernatural's usual time slot. The first half is going to be preoccupied by the tale-end of a new Christmas special from the iHeartRadio folks that features popular music artists, singing Christmas jingles, I suspect. For me, that's a barf. However, some of you may still want to tune in to it. If you don't, a change of plans is definitely in order.

Mary to get more involved

Alright, so now. It's new spoiler scoops time. Apparently, the showrunner of SN, Andrew Dabb, recently dished out some new, very interesting details about what we can expect as the current season moves along into the back half. He pointed out that we're going to be seeing a lot more action from Dean and Sam's mother, Marry Winchester, and it's going to be some huge stuff!

Also, they won't be wasting time, getting her into full action as she's due to show up in the next episode 9, which is called: "First Blood." Andrew went on to elaborate that Mary is going to have a better understanding of how this future world works in every facet, and is going to become way more proactive in the storylines.

Dean and Sam locked up off the grid

Additionally, CW was a gem and released the promo/spoiler clip for episode 9, last week. I've posted it, below, for those of you who haven't seen it yet. In it, we see Dean and Sam all locked up in a place that supposedly doesn't exist to the rest of the world. Mary and Castiel are also seen, confirming that the boys have been MIA for about 6 weeks or so! The clip caps off with Mary and Castiel, spotted in some deep, deep trouble when a lot guns get pointed at them.

Be sure to watch that bad boy, below, and stay tuned.
