Who says money can’t buy you love? During a charity gala hosted by pop singer Madonna on Friday, the singer told former husband Sean Penn, who was in attendance, that she was still in love with him. The event was held at Miami’s Art Basel where Madonna raked in more than $7.5 million for the African nation of Malawi. Dressed in a very short, black, silver and gold number, Madonna also offered to re-marry Penn if he placed a bid of $150,000. Penn obliged and joined his ex-wife on stage. He even bid on other expensive items throughout the night.

During a point where the auction stalled, the 56-year-old Oscar-winning actor handcuffed Madonna, who jokingly responded with: “Just like the good old days” and “For once, he’s not the one being arrested.”

Although the crowd of Celebrities included such notables as Dave Chappelle, Leonardo DiCaprio, James Corden, Chris Rock and Courtney Love, much of the affair was shared on social media. Among items Madonna auctioned off were costumes, tour memorabilia and rare photographs that included black and white photos of her and Penn’s 1985 wedding. Shot by the late fashion photographer Herb Ritts, the wedding pictures sold for $230,000.

Madonna’s Raising Malawi foundation

Reality TV star Betheny Frankel posted a video on her snapchat account showing Madonna’s 11-year-old adopted son David telling the story about his life in Malawi. The young child’s biological mother died in childbirth and he revealed having had malaria and pneumonia when Madonna adopted him. In a country where half the population is under the age of 15, the foundation is working to build a pediatric surgery and intensive care unit at the hospital. As part of taking a break from speeches and bids, Madonna took time to sing “Send in the Clowns” while dressed as a clown. Taking a dig at politics, she even performed Britney Spears’ “Toxic” as photos of Donald Trump popped up behind her.
