Johannah Deakin was a midwife who was well known by the group’s fans and was often featured on social media with her famous son. Sadly, Deakin had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia earlier this year. Affectionately referred to as “Jay,” she leaves behind her husband Dan, seven children, and one grandchild who is 24-year-old Tomlinson’s son.

Fulfilling a proud mother’s dying wish

Per his mother’s wish, Tomlinson is planning to return to the stage on Saturday, December 10th. He will debut his live solo performance on The X Factor at Wembley Arena.

No doubt, his planned tribute to his mom will be incredibly emotional and difficult. Even though Tomlinson’s performance has been in the works for some time, it will come three days after his mother’s death. Despite the pressure, the singer can count on the love and support he will be surrounded by.
