"General Hospital" offers fans a slew of characters to love and hate. The writers have been busy adding new characters and bring back some old favorites. With that comes the exit of some fan-favorites as well. The last few months have seen huge loss and huge gain, and with that turn around come more changes.

Who is returning to 'General Hospital'?

It was announced that Brooklyn Rae Silzer (Emma Drake) will be reprising her role this month. It appears that Emma will be coming back to Port Charles to visit Anna (Finola Hughes).

"General Hospital" is drawing a connection between Anna and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Bringing sweet Emma back is likely for the holidays only, which is just enough for fans to get their fix and move on to trying to find out how the former WSB agent is connected to such a vile man.

Who isn't leaving 'General Hospital'?

Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) has just entered an awkward place. His relationship with Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) is pretty much over after she found out that he answered her phone and told Curtis (Donnell Turner) not to call her ever again.

Things are rocky at best, and that would be on a good day. Rumors were circulating that Montgomery may be exiting "General Hospital" because of a tweet. According to Soap Hub, Anthony Montgomery will not be exiting "General Hospital" at all. He had mentioned another show was interested in bringing him on board but that would be after "General Hospital," and right now, there is no time frame to give.

There is so much going on with "General Hospital" right now, losing another character would be a huge deal. Fans are still mourning the loss of Bryan Craig in the role of Morgan Corinthos. There was also Bree Williamson's exit as Claudette, with no explanation about her whereabouts. While fans were attached to her character, the lack of closure and the writers not addressing it didn't leave a good taste in the mouths of those fans.

The next few weeks are crucial for ratings, and it looks like things have been on a downward swing.
