Be careful: spoilers on "Game of Thrones" season 7 will follow! Like almost everyone who read the books, we always hoped that Nymeria's story arc in Game of Thrones would have followed the one in the books. Along with the other spoilers in season 7 leaked on Reddit there is something about Arya's direwolf: she is going to meet Arya again. You could think it's not a big deal, but actually it is.

Nymeria and her army in 'A Song of Ice and Fire' book series

In the books Nymeria was forced to leave by Arya after the direwolf's attack on Prince Joffrey (just like in the show). After a long absence, we start to hear about Nymeria again in "A Clash of Kings", when Arya Stark, marching north on the Kingsroad, hears someone talking about a big, fearless she-wolf leading a large pack in the Riverlands.

Lord Mooton decides to find and kill the wolf with his sons and his hounds, but when they reach the lair of Nymeria, the Lord barely manage to survive, and flees losing all his hounds in the process.

Catelyn's 'rescue'

In the books Catelyn Stark is revived by Beric Dondarrion, but that was only possible thanks to Nymeria. Through a warg bond with her, Arya finds her mother's body floating in a river and drags it ashore, fleeing when some men approach (we can deduce that those men are probably members of the Brotherhood without Banners).

Moreover, in "A Storm of Swords" Nymeria (just as Arya sees in one of her dreams) attacks and kills Iggo and a few others Bloody Mummers who were hunting down Arya, Gendry and Hot Pie, probably saving the young Stark's life.

Nymeria's army

In "A Feast for Crows" the big pack led by Nymeria it's not a pack anymore: Arya's direwolf is reported leading hundreds of wolves. And she hasn't forgotten where she came from: in "AFFC" Nymeria and her army attack some Freys men and kill two Lannister sentries. "The North remembers", right?

What we know from the leak

The main concern about Nymeria's storyline was that Benioff and Weiss were going to cut off the character from the show, but apparently they're not. The leaker only stated that Arya is going to meet Nymeria again in season 7, therefore we cannot be sure that we will also see the huge pack featured in the books, but why on earth the writers should cut this awesome development from Nymeria's arc?

The showrunners have the chance to create an impressing, touching and memorable scene, and since they're not going to cut off Nymeria from the show, we're pretty confident they will follow what George R.R. Martin imagined in his books.

Is the leak legit?

Since many details from the leaked "Game of Thrones" season 7 plot have been confirmed by leaked photos and filming location details, the information the leaker provided tend to be considered legit. Even if we cannot be 100% sure about everything he wrote, it's very likely that we're going to watch the most-awaited Arya-Nymeria reunion in season 7.
