"Fuller House" took Netflix by storm two seasons in a row. Fans have been waiting to hear if there would be a new season. Their Christmas wish has come true.

Christmas Eve video announces season 3!

The "Fuller House" cast was in a video that was released on social media today. Each cast member passed off a large wrapped package to the next. Finally the package ended up in the hands of Jodie Sweetin.

She turned the package to expose the message that season 3 would be coming soon.

According to Variety, season 1 of "Fuller House" was record-breaking for Netflix. It pulled in the highest viewership of any other original series. For season 2 the numbers dropped to a mere one third of what they had been the previous season. Bottom line, the numbers for the show matched those with a large following like "The Walking Dead."

The cast is comprised of original cast members Candace Cameron Bure (DJ), Andrea Barber (Kimmy) and Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie). The late Alan Thicke made an appearance in the previous season as well.

Are the Olsen twins joining the cast?

We still have not seen the Olsen twins join the cast and bring a grown Michelle back. There is pondering on social media if possibly that will be in a second reveal on Christmas Day. To have them join the show would make fans very happy! Even if the two would do guest appearances if they prefer not to join the cast for all of the episodes.

While "Full House" was based on single father Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) raising three daughters with the help of his brother-in-law (John Stamos), and best friend (Dave Coulier), "Fuller House" is flipped.

Danny's eldest daughter DJ is raising her three sons with the help of her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy (who is a single parent to a daughter of her own). The antics of the new family mix is just as entertaining as the original family.

The announcement for season 3 comes just two weeks after season 2 became available to stream. Fans can expect the new season to become available in 2017.
