Dylan Dreyer, "Today" show meteorologist, has given birth to her first child. She and her husband of four years, Brian Fichera, welcomed their son on Saturday, December 17 at 11:52 a.m. The 35-year-old new mother shared the first photos of her newborn son on Instagram the same day he was born.

New baby

Dylan and Brian's baby is named Calvin Bradley Fichera. Calvin weighed in at 8.3 lbs. and measured 20.5 inches long. His father, a cameraman for "NBC Nightly News," posted on his Instagram that both mother and son are doing well.

He thanked everyone for being so kind and said his entire life is dedicated to always being there for his son. The new mother wrote that childbirth is no joke after saying Calvin arrived right on schedule in a snowstorm.

Back in June, the weather correspondent surprised her co-hosts on-air with blue confetti that indicated she and Brian would have a boy. Dylan did not go on maternity leave days in advance as Savannah Guthrie had done. She worked right up to the time of Calvin's birth.

Dylan Dreyer and Savannah Guthrie

NBC's meteorologist Dylan Dreyer and co-anchor Savannah Guthrie were pregnant at the same time, and their sons were born just nine days apart. Savannah and husband, Mike Feldman, welcomed their second child on December 8. This was six days after Savannah, 44, went on maternity leave. Charles Max Feldman weighed in at 9 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 21.5 inches. They have a two-year-old daughter named Vale.

The couple wasn't told about the sex of Vale before her birth, but they knew in advance about the sex of the new baby in order to prepare Vale for a baby brother. So, now the "Today" show has two new babies, and they are both boys.

Since the meteorologist and the co-anchor were pregnant at the same time, Dylan welcomed advice from Savannah, who had already gone through childbirth once before. Dylan admitted she was afraid of how her life would change, but Savannah gave her good advice during their pregnancies.

Now, after the birth of little Calvin, Dylan says she is looking forward to the way that her newborn son will change her life.
