“Dangal” the much awaited aamir khan starrer that is a biopic tale of a former Indian wrestling champion Mahavir Singh Phogat who trains his two daughters to become world class wrestlers has already been declared a hit even before its scheduled release on 23rd December, Friday.

The film will release all around the Indian Territory in three languages i.e. Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The actor needs no recognition in the US with a large fan following and with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures as its distributors the movie is ready to take the US screens on 21st December, to enable “PK” fans to catch up with their favorite actor during their Christmas Holiday Season.

It has been two years since “PK” unraveled the Indian movie buffs and went on to become the biggest grosser of Bollywood standing unbeatable till date.

It is left to be seen whether its only mere conjecture or the collection for “Dangal” would cross the Rs 400 Cr mark and leave “PK” behind.

Celebs who watched the premiere of the film were amazed and tweeted in appreciation.

Nowadays the tune, ‘Bapu sehat ke liye tu to hanikaarak hai’ being tirelessly played on music sites is just adding up to the hype of ”Dangal” with pre-bookings confirming that it is set to an 80% opening.

Box office predictions

With run time of 2 Hrs 40 Min 44 Sec, the movie will open for release in 5000 screens worldwide with 3950 screens in India and 1050 overseas. The film is co-starred by another big screen feminist presence, Sakshi Tanwar.

The film releasing on a Christmas Holiday weekend is expected to beat his previous first-day collection earnings with a massive Rs 35 crore plus on day one and Rs 70 plus crores by the end of the weekend.

Just as Eid is Salman Khan’s domain, Christmas is considered auspicious by the “Ghajini” actor and all his past films, having released on or around Christmas have gone on to become the biggest hits of all times. It is just a formality of having to wait for “Dangal” fate, as the predictions have already declared its massive success.
