The official air date for the return of the new season of “Alaskan Bush People is scheduled for Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 9 p.m. ET. While Discovery Channel is airing a “Christmas Special” on Wednesday night, December 7, 2016, at the end of a 4-hour marathon featuring a rerun of the previous episodes “Shots in the Dark,” “Judgement Day,” “Released to the Wild,” and “Back in Browntown,” the start of the new season of “Alaskan Bush People” will not actually begin until January.

Will Matt Brown return to Browntown?

Among the new season spoilers leaked online is one of the most pressing questions that fans have.

Will the Brown family’s oldest son return to the Alaskan outback or will Matt stay away from his family in order to deal with his drinking challenges?

Matt Brown is back in Browntown with his family and is part of the new “ABP” season. As previously reported, not only does Matt look great – but he enjoys interacting with fans near the Brown family’s filming location in Alaska.

More new season spoilers

In addition to Matt Brown returning to his family living in the Alaskan outback, the Browns have added another family member – a cow named Sabrina. According to social media chatter by some “ABP” fans living near the Brown family’s filming location, local residents were unwilling to provide their own cow, so Sabrina had to be flown to Browntown.

According to the latest report by People, the new season of “Alaskan Bush People” is all about the Brown family’s “self-sustaining homestead” while trying to survive in the Alaskan outback. As such, having Sabrina to provide milk for the Brown family of nine makes sense.

Sabrina and bears!

However, included in the new “ABP” season spoilers is also the Brown family’s struggle against the bears living in the Alaskan bush.

In the new season trailer, Bear, the Brown family’s third-oldest son, can be seen trying to outrun some bears as he says breathlessly, “this is what living wild in the bush is all about.”

With Brown family patriarch Billy describing the new season as “this year is all about a self-sustaining homestead,” and son Bear emphasizing that survival in the Alaskan outback takes survival skills, it will be interesting to see how cow Sabrina will find herself at the end of the new season of Discovery Channel’s “Alaskan Bush People.”
