Adrienne Bailon and Israel Houghton performed for the first time in public as husband and wife on Friday, December 16. The newlyweds sang "The Little Drummer Boy" on "The Real" (where Adrienne is a co-host), along with Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Loni Love.

'The Little Drummer Boy'

Dressed in all white, the couple gave a stellar performance and put everyone in the mood for Christmas. Israel Houghton played the piano as he sang "The Little Drummer Boy" along with his wife of just one month. Adrienne used to sing with the Cheetah Girls, but she mixed her voice with her gospel singer husband to deliver a beautiful rendition of the Christmas classic to the audience and television viewers' delight.

The co-hosts congratulated Adrienne, 33, and Israel, 45, for such a wonderful performance. It was amazing to see them perform together and to watch Adrienne sneak glances at her new husband as they combined their musical talent. After the song was over, Adrienne went over to the piano and gently kissed Houghton.

It was not revealed why the couple chose to sing "The Little Drummer Boy" instead of one of the other popular Christmas songs, but viewers were pleased with their selection of the classic written by Katherine Kennicott Davis in 1941. It has increased in popularity throughout the years and has been performed by many other singers. It tells the beautiful story of a poor young boy who had no gift to give when Jesus was born.

Therefore, he played his drum to the approval of Mary, the mother of Jesus.

Israel and Adrienne Houghton

This is not the first time Israel has visited his wife on "The Real." They got married in Paris on Friday, November 11 in front of about 70 guests. He appeared on the show the following Monday to watch the footage of their Paris wedding.

Because of the reception the two of them received from their first performance together, they will probably sing together again on and off the show. It is safe to say that Israel and Adrienne are making beautiful music together.
