"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is coming to a theater near you on December 16 and if you're worried that tickets will be sold out on the premiere date, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has some good news for you.

According to the film's official Twitter account, tickets for the first standalone film in the "Star Wars" Anthology series will go on sale on Monday, November 28.

The announcement for the advanced ticket sales came was made on Friday, November 25, the same day a new 90-second teaser for the film was released.

Judging from the reaction the early ticket sales offer and the new #Rogue One trailer, Friday was a big day for "Star Wars" fans. Well, not as big as December 16 when the movie is released, but still — more than 10,000 followers favored the tweet and, so far, there are almost 700K viewers on the 90-second trailer (above), so clearly fans are getting excited for finally see the movie that started filming back in August 2015.

Disney only released the date — November 28 — not the time tickets would go on sale, but according to Fandango, tickets will go on sale online starting at 12:01 a.m.

New "Rogue One" Trailer Released

The video clip above gives fans a brief look at two new characters — Jyn and Cassian — and the icon of the franchise, Darth Vader and his space station the Death Star. Said to be the last trailer released before the movie is released in theaters on December 16, the clip also shows the human-size droid K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) killing a group of Stormtroopers.

Seconds after Disney announced that tickets would go on sale more than two weeks in advance of the film's debut, fans expressed their excitement about the upcoming movie that is an early Christmas gift for many Star Wars fanatics.
