The Voice” results show the final 12 will be whittled to the season 11 final 11 tonight, but who will go home? Last night saw a number of spectacular performances by the artists on the four teams. There were some standouts and a couple were good but not quite good enough.

Who will be sent home tonight?

“The Voice” hopefuls will find out by the end of tonight’s episode whether they are safe or will be sent home. But who is to be eliminated? Billy Gilman was a standout with Queen’s “The Show Must Go On” and he’s clearly on a fast track to the finals.

Sundance Head also wowed the crowed with “My Church” and in the same semi-religious vein of songs, We’ McDonald almost shook the roof off the rafters with her cover of Hozier’s “Take Me to Church.” Miley Cyrus’ chose a winner having Ali Caldwell sing Leonard Cohen’s “Did I Ever Love You.”

Darby Walker is a weird warbler, her “Ruby Tuesday” was solid but it may not have enough crowd appeal to carry her, but it was still solid. Christian Cuevas did a strong cover of Coldplay’s “The Scientist.”

Austin Allsup also brought the funk when he covered Aretha. Finally, Aaron Gibson did Father John Misty which is a bit out of the mainstream but he sang his face off so it didn’t matter that we didn’t know it.

All of these artists will be safe.

Who’s at the bottom of the heap?

Courtney Harrell fell short with her cover of Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” and admittedly, that’s a big challenge. Brendan Fletcher’s “Whipping Post” had him more energetic than usual, but still not brilliant.

Sa’Rayah struggled somewhat with “Livin’ on a Prayer” since she seemed to let the backup singers carry too much of the heft of the song. It’s all about America’s vote this week so the question is, where did “The Voice“ fans fall on these performances?

The coaches can have their opinion but it won’t be up to Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, or Alicia Keys who stays and who goes. The final three should be Sa’Rayah, Courtney and Brendan but the latter two for sure. It seems likely that Brendan Fletcher will exit.

“The Voice” results airs tonight on CBS.
