The hopefuls of "The Voice" 2016 earned their best iTunes vote results to date following last night's live show as five of the top 10 saw their cover songs ranked in the top 10 of the iTunes top 200 chart at the close of the week's voting window this morning. Each lucky aspiring singer will receive a five-times vote multiplier as a reward for faring well with iTunes voters. So who cracked the top 10, and who saw his cover shoot all the way to number one?

'The Voice' 2016 results: Sundance Head ranks number one in iTunes vote

For the second consecutive week, country-soul singer Sundance Head of Team Blake earned the highest iTunes chart placement of all. His rollicking rendition of "Me and Jesus" soared all the way to number one, giving the the bearded Head his second iTunes vote multiplier of "The Voice" season 11. The first came courtesy of his Nov. 21 iteration of Alicia Keys' "No One," which ranked ninth on the chart when the voting window closed.

The other iTunes bonus winners from the top 10 include:

  • 2. Brendan Fletcher, "True Colors," Team Adam (Cyndi Lauper)
  • 4. Billy Gilman, "Anyway," Team Adam (Martina McBride)
  • 7. Christian Cuevas, "Million Reasons," Team Alicia (Lady Gaga)
  • 10. We McDonald, "God Bless the Child," Team Alicia

In danger come 'The Voice' top 10 results time?

Although an iTunes vote multiplier doesn't guarantee a contestant a berth in the next round of the competition, it does represent at least a small advantage, so the five contestants whose offerings did not place in the top 10 have ground to make up.

Their final chart rankings are as follows:

  • 14. Ali Caldwell, "Without You," Team Miley (Mariah Carey)
  • 40. Josh Gallagher, "Real Good Man," Team Adam (Tim McGraw)
  • 42. Austin Allsup, "Missing You," Team Blake (John Waite)
  • 70. Aaron Gibson, "Rocket Man," Team Miley (Elton John)
  • 156. Courtney Harrell, "If I Could Turn Back Time," Team Blake (Cher)

Given that Gibson has twice been kept alive in the competition by the Twitter Instant Save, it's not a stretch the say that he will likely face elimination during tonight's "The Voice" 2016 top 10 results show.

He will likely be joined in the three-contestant battle for survival by Harrell, but practically anyone else could wind up in the third available spot. To see how it all pans out, catch the double elimination tonight on NBC.
