Santa's new bag of tricks

It has been over a decade but who can forget the classic twist on a Christmas film that was "Bad Santa." Filled with dark humor, a comedy that told the tale of an alcoholic con man named Willie Stokes (Billy Bob Thornton) who stole from shopping outlets on Christmas Eve and in the midst of his criminal behavior, befriended a young boy named Thurman Merman. It is through Thurman’s love and belief in Santa, a.k.a. Willie Stokes, which eventually brings out the softer side of this grizzly Santa and by the end of the film, finds him being a better person.

What the film has in store

Billy Bob is back in full Santa suit this November with his new movie "Bad Santa 2." He plays our favorite whiskey-soaked, disheveled, skinny Santa, a role he was destined to play, with plans of stealing from a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve. What better way to spend your Thanksgiving holiday than nestling in for some bawdy good humor? You may have been good all year but this is the one night to be bad. It is sure to invoke a few laughs and get everybody ready for the holiday season.

Who you can expect to see in the film

The film is set to star, once again, Brett Kelly as the kid and Tony Cox as Marcus, Willie’s sidekick elf. Some new faces will light up the screen this go-round with the award-winning Kathy Bates as Willie’s "tough as nails" mother and the ever-popular and beautiful Christina Hendricks showing off her ample curves as Willie’s love interest. The original "Bad Santa" movie had critics amused and entertained, earning a 7.1 rating on IMDb and a 78% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not too shabby for a Christmas film, if you want to call it that.

Hopefully Billy Bob and the gang can hone in another win with viewers everywhere.
