"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" season 7 trailer was released earlier this week and showed loads of excitement, thrills, and melodrama to come. The cast will go on luxurious travels to Greece, Mexico, and Hong Kong. What wasn't shown in the previews was some resistance the cast were met with upon visiting a specific area of China.

Cast not welcome in Yulin

According to the "RHOBH" season 7 trailer that was released, the women are living it up in their exotic travels without much trouble other than the typical drama.

What isn't shown is the unwelcome greeting they experienced at Yulin where the horrific dog meat festival is held in China every year.

Vanderpump is a known advocate in fighting against the brutal dog meat festival in which the animals are tortured beyond imaginable levels. The "RHOBH" star's activism was part of the trip, but it's unclear if any scenes of this will be shown. A source said the cast was nervous when they saw how the people there reacted to their presence. The cast was especially worried for Vanderpump because the locals were aware of why she was there.

The insider adds that in the end, Lisa Vanderpump accomplished what she went there to do. This is great news considering the level of horror that goes on at the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Lisa may not have been been able to save all the dogs, but she made a statement in whatever efforts she put in while filming on location.

A good cause seen on 'RHOBH' in season 7

Vanderpump's mission to end the cruel dog meat festival hasn't been centric to the show, but this season it may account for some external drama.

She's passionate about her cause and it has even led her to Washington, D.C. where she spoke out on behalf of the animals. It'll be a refreshing approach to see one of the "Real Housewives" series address a cause that's so important, something that balances out so much negativity.

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" season 7 cast includes Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson, Erika Girardi, and Dorit Kemsley. The show will premiere on Tuesday, December 6 at 9 p.m., ET/ 6 p.m., PT on Bravo.
