Recently, CW served up the brand new,official spoilers for their upcoming "The Vampire Diaries" episode 4 of its current season 8. I just read them, and it definitely sounds like things will get more intriguing as a very startling revelation gets revealed to Damon. Alaric and Stefan find out where the mysterious force, controlling Damon and Enzo, came from. Matt is back, and more.

The title is pretty grim

To get this revealing spoiler session started, the show's producers decided to call this episode: "An Eternity of Misery." So, yeah. That's not a very cheerful message, but intriguing none the less.

Damon learns something shocking

Alright, now on to the official plotline spoilers.

CW revealed that we're going to see Damon get another task to carry out. This time, it will be to retrieve a mysterious artifact somewhere in Texas. And things are not going to turn out well as Damon ends up, encountering a very violent run-in with a man named Peter Maxwell (played by guest star: Joel Gretsch). This little run-in is going to ultimately lead Damon to find out a surprising revelation!

Alaric and Stefan find important information

Next, we learn that Stefan and Alaric will be in a position where they have now gained some sort of advantage in their efforts to rescue Damon and Enzo from whatever it is that has a hold on them. As a result of this, they will combine forces, and find out where this strange force actually came from in the first, damn place.

Matt returns for action

Then to wrap up the spoiler intel for this episode, we find out that we're going to see Matt, finally show back up in action after his present and past collides in a surprising way.

Also, Caroline will be in this episode, but they didn't reveal what she'll be doing, so you'll just have to tune in for that. The episode was written by the team of Brett Matthews & Neil Reynolds, and it was directed by Rob Hardy.
