Hey, "Supergirl" fans. It's been a while since I wrote an article for you guys and I'm sorry to say this new one has to be bad news about the upcoming episode 9 of season 2, but it most definitely is. It turns out that it's going to be a while before you guys get to see it, because according to my sources over at the Futon Critic site, CW will be airing repeats until January 16th, 2017.

We're looking at over 4 weeks

Now, we're still not absolutely sure that January 16th will be the return date of new shows, but you could probably make a confident bet that it will be the date.

I'm personally still waiting on confirmation from the CW for that. Also, this means that CW has delayed the usual press release synopsis spoilers for the 9th installment. I'm guessing it's because they didn't feel the need to get it out ,right away, since the show is taking a break for over a month.

We weren't able to gather much spoilery intel from any of our other sources, except for a title and a little, vague teaser. The vague teaser, comes from the Trakt.tv folks.

They said that the title of episode 9 is a nod to the script that Smith served up for a movie that actually never got released, called: "Superman Lives." Which means the title is, you guessed it: "Supergirl Lives."

We'll find out something tonight

Now, on a very positive note, we believe some new spoilery intel will pop up, tonight, after episode 8 gets aired, because The CW is expected to release a new spoiler/promo clip.

And based on past times that they've done this, it should also confirm the airdate. So, you will definitely want to watch out for that later on, tonight. And, of course, the official written teasers should arrive at anytime. It just depends on when The CW decides to put out that press release for it.

Return of the premiere

Here's what CW will be airing in Supergirl's time slot, next week, according to the TV Guide listings.

It'll be a rerun of the season 2 premiere episode. So, if you want to watch that back, you'll get your shot. Those of you who don't, should start making other plans now, and stay tuned.
