Lisa Vanderpump is the queen bee on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," but even so, the SUR restaurateur almost sat out the seventh season of the Bravo reality show. Lisa told "Access Hollywood Live" that she hesitated to sign on to the upcoming season of rhobh because someone last season was “just so aggressive” towards her. Vanderpump is not playing a victim here. There was a lot of drama among all of the ladies last season and Lisa admitted that she “did hit back” at her quarrelling cast mates.

Still, Vanderpump now says the season went down an ugly road that had her thinking she can’t possibly do this anymore.

What went wrong for LVP?

Lisa blamed her conflict on “a couple of really negative episodes” in Season 6, but she ultimately admitted that the good times filming the show outweighed the bad.

Clearly, that influenced her decision to come back to the show.

Lisa Vanderpump now has 250 episodes of reality television under her belt thanks to her roles on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and the spin-off "Vanderpump Rules," as well as her stint on "Dancing with the Stars." But her most memorable on-camera issue came last season with co-star Lisa Rinna. One of the ladies’ biggest conflicts was the Munchausen drama that played out over co-star Yolanda Hadid, during which the group questioned if their ailing cast mate really had Lyme disease or if her ailment was all in her head. Vanderpump described Rinna as “aggressive” about blaming her for the drama, and admitted that she takes a few jabs at her in the upcoming season.

A renewed attitude for Season 7

While Real Housewives come and go, it’s hard to imagine a "RHOBH" season without Lisa Vanderpump.

While there was definitely some drama last season, perhaps Lisa took comfort in the fact that for Season 7 she will have a new ally on board. Lisa’s longtime pal, fashion designer Dorit Kemsley, has joined the cast of the Bravo reality show. Lisa has described Dorit as a close personal friend who changes the dynamic of the group a bit, but this time it will be in her favor.

In addition to Vanderpump and Kemsley, "RHOBH" mainstays Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Eileen Davidson, and yes, Lisa Rinna will be back for the new episodes. Newcomer Eden Sassoon, the daughter of beauty and fashion icon Vidal Sassoon, also joins the cast for Season 7.

Lisa Vanderpump returns for Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
