Kelly Dodd's interview published by Page Six alludes to her leaving "The Real Housewives of Orange County" after appearing on just one season. She shared what she's learned and elaborated on the experience of being in the "Real Housewives" franchise.

Kelly Dodd's experience on 'The Real Housewives of Orange County'

Dodd reveals that the show has actually strengthened her marriage to husband, Michael. She admitted he wasn't happy about her comparing him to Hitler in one episode, but he was able to better grasp what their marriage actually looks like by watching "RHOC."

She went on to say that, ironically, the show has brought them closer together.

Kelly wasn't prepared for a lot of things that were thrown at her in being a Housewife. In so many words, she equates it to a misunderstanding because she really thought it was going to be a lot more fun as a cast member. Dodd wasn't prepared for so much seriousness signing on with the show... upset at how she was treated and constantly involved in "attack mode" all the time.

Kelly Dodd added that she's not perfect, but it was more than she bargained for. With that said, the "RHOC" rookie said more good than bad derived from her time with the show in season 11.

It not only has helped her marriage, but her 9-year-old daughter, Jolie, likes being on the show. She's gotten used to the cameras and is comfortable with the whole process.

A return is questionable

Dodd said she's not sure if she's returning to "RHOC" for season 12. She's been through so much turmoil with the other cast members, except Vicki Gunvaslon.

On an episode of "Watch What Happens Live" Monday night, a caller managed to get through and ask Dodd embarrassing questions about a rumor that she was cheating on her husband. It quickly turned into a Twitter war between Kelly and Tamra Judge. Kelly tweeted some screenshots of what appeared to be text messages between Tamra and someone wanting to call on the show to put Kelly on the spot.

Kelly denied having an affair and Tamra denied having anything to do with the caller probing Dodd about the alleged affair.
