Less than two weeks after "Dancing With The Stars" 2016 pro Sharna Burgess suffered an injury that forced her to sit out the series' Halloween Night episode, Gleb Savchenkohurt his knee and may be sidelined for week eight, which is set for Nov. 7. Both the "DWTS" pro and his celebrity partner, season 23 fan favorite Jana Kramer, sharedthe bad news with fans via social media on Nov. 3.

Jana Kramer, Gleb Savchenko over on 'DWTS' 2016?

The 32-year old actress and country singer was first to share the unfortunate development.

She tweeted a photo of herself alongside Savchenko and "Dancing with the Stars" 2016 troupe member Alan Bersten, who is acting as Kramer's temporary partner, along with the pointed caption "This. Is. not. A. Happy. Photo. ;(. @Gleb_Savchenko@Dance10Alan@DancingABC#dwts"

A short time later, Savchenko Instagrammed the same image with words of his own that read "Sorry @kramergirlfor not being able to rehears with you today, hopefully my knee will be better and I can dance on Monday night." He also thanked Bersten for acting as his stand-in.

Stand-ins can still excel on 'DWTS'

Although Kramer may not wind up having the comfort of dancing with her usual partner on Monday's Showstoppers episode of "DWTS" 2016, she could very well find success alongside Bersten during her two dances: an individual waltz to "She Used to be Mine" from "Waitress," and a Team-Up Challenge contemporary piece with fellow competitors Laurie Hernandez and Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

Stand-in success has already happened this season: On Oct. 31, Burgess' celebrity partner James Hinchcliffe danced with stand-in partner Jenna Johnson and the duo nabbed a perfect score for the "Suicide Squad" routine.

How is Sharna Burgess?

According to a Nov. 1 Yahoo report, Burgess is scheduled to have an MRI today that will determine whether or not she will return to the ballroom dance floor on Monday night.

If she is not medically cleared, Jenna Johnson will once again perform with Hinchcliffe, who is a frontrunner to claim the "Dancing with the Stars" 2016 Mirrorball Trophy.

"Dancing with the Stars" 2016 continues Monday on ABC.
