On December 1, Freeform, formerly known as ABC Family, will be kicking off the 20th anniversary of its annual 25 Days of Christmas that ends December 25. Meaning that in less than a week, families can begin to kick back, relax, and get in the holiday spirit by watching some holiday classics such as "Elf," Tim Burton’s "The Nightmare Before Christmas," and "The Santa Clause." On top of this, a newer movie, "Holiday Joy," will be presented for the first time.

"Elf" is a comical holiday classic that was released in 2003. It stars Will Ferrell, also known as Buddy in the movie, who is raised to be one of Santa’s elves.

After realizing he doesn’t fit in with the other elves, he takes a trip to New York in search of his birth father (which he finds and later makes a connection with).

In no time, he plans to kidnap Santa Clause and take control over his role, dominating the Christmas holiday. But it doesn’t necessarily turn out the way he would have liked.

Over the next few months, he starts developing Santa’s physical attributes and spends his Christmas as the newest Santa.
