Trunks saga and 'Dragon Ball Super'

As is known by any and all fans that are currently caught up with "Dragon Ball Super," the threat of Zamasu's fusion put the fate of the protagonists of the series in jeopardy. With Zamasu's stats and attributes, combined with those of Goku Black, this fusion has proven to be a formidable foe, and one that has easily kept viewers glued to their seats in terms of what's going to happen next.

While it has been confirmed that the Future Trunks story arc is coming to a close, that leaves many viewers speculating as to what is coming up next following this saga's conclusion.

There has also been talk of whether or not there will just be filler episodes to bridge the gap between the ending of Future Trunks' saga and what comes after. Either way, the internet is ripe with speculation and fan theory.

Zeno arrives in 'Dragon Ball Super'

While questions revolving around why Zeno travelled to the future remain unanswered, it has been speculated that Zeno travelled to the future to essentially clean up the mess that was left as a result of Trunks meddling with the timeline.

Taking into account that Zeno is essentially the master of all universes, nothing happens without his notice. Whether it is meddling with the timeline or some other form of manipulation, nothing escapes Zeno. With all of this in mind, it begs the question of why Zeno waited so long before intervening.

Fate of Future Trunks' timeline on 'Dragon Ball Super'

Ultimately, with Zeno essentially being omnipotent and all powerful, he could very well decide to wipe the Future Trunks timeline from existence, essentially resetting the world back to a state prior to the arrival of Zamasu, rendering anything that happened as a result of Zamasu and/or Goku Black non-existent.

There is also another possibility that Zeno has another agenda -- to get Goku and Vegeta to agree to fight in his tournament. It's possible that he could be holding the Future Trunks timeline close as a way to manipulate Goku and Vegeta into participating, but still, with the dominion that Zeno holds, it follows that he would not even have to resort to such methods to get what he wants.

Episode 67 of "Dragon Ball Super" will air on November 20th, with likely one of two possible outcomes: either a grim end for Future Trunks, or Zeno will restore order and peace to the world.

Either way, we will have to tune in to the next episode of "Dragon Ball Super" to find out.
