As you all know, Black is Zamasu with Goku’s body, since he wished to exchange bodies with the Saiyan. Putting this into consideration, many fans are reaching  the conclusion that if Black has Goku’s body, then he might be able to reach the Super Saiyan Blue stage. Is this possible? Let’s analyze the situation.

Further analysis

We all know that the Super Saiyan Blue transformation comes from the Super Saiyan God stage. This transformation is one of the legends among the Saiyan race, and requires the union of 5 pure hearted Saiyans to enlighten the soul of another one. This is why Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Gohan and Videl (pregnant with Pan) managed to illuminate Goku’s soul to reach this Super Saiyan God stage.

So far, he was the only one seen using this transformation. Since Vegeta can also reach the stage, we assume that he has also transformed into a Super Saiyan God, but regrettably we didn’t see how this happened. Now it is also true that Black is Zamasu in Goku’s body, so he can transform into a Super Saiyan, but his dark heart should prevent him from reaching the SS Blue stage, since it is a derivative of the SS God transformation. This is why he has his own transformation, the SS Rose, which is basically the original SS transformation with the yellow hair of a normal Saiyan.

In summary

Black may be able to reach a transformation similar to the SS Blue, since Rose is his ordinary SS stage, but he will not be able to properly reach the Super Saiyan Blue level (the one with the blue hair that Goku and Vegeta share).

The reason for this, as we have already said, is because Black is none other than Zamasu with Goku’s body, and since Zamasu has no pure heart, it doesn’t matter what body he possesses thanks to the Super Dragon Balls (SS God, and, consequently the SS Blue stage), as long as his heart remains dark, he should not be able to reproduce these transformations.

Now the big question is…

Is it possible for Black to display a new transformation, perhaps a new stage for the SS Rose?
