Deepika and Vogue

Deepika is also a much-photographed girl and her image is featured in numerous advertisements. Recently she appeared in a photo shoot for the Indian edition of Vogue magazine. In this photo shoot, Deepika has modeled the sari.

The sari is a typical Indian dress and consists of a cloth almost 5-meter long that is tied in folds around a woman's waist.

There was a time that the sari was the main dress of women in India and almost 90% of women wore it. Now times have changed and fewer women, especially in the urban centers, wear the sari. Many working women find it cumbersome and prefer the shalwar Kameez or pants and jeans. Deepika modeling in a sari breathes new life into this traditional garb.

The November issue of Vogue has Deepika wearing the sari in some lovely photos. In this issue, she has collaborated with Sabyasachi Mukherjee and given a glimpse of her beauty and talent.

This issue of Vogue focuses on the Banarasi sari some of which are embroidered with gold thread and come with a very expensive price tag.

Deepika models many colors and designs of this trademark sari and comes out with flying colors. Deepika is the typical Indian beauty and is an athletic girl who almost represented India in badminton. Her father Prakash is a well-known badminton champion. It's again for Bollywood that she left badminton to enter the film and modeling world. In this issue, she also dons a red Punjabi dress and carries off the exercise with aplomb.
