Dave Chappelle will take a stab at hosting this weekend. The 43-year-old actor and comedian is scheduled to host the next episode of "Saturday Night Live" on November 12.

First post-election episode

This will be the first episode of "SNL" since the presidential election concluded. This will also be the first time ever that Chappelle has hosted the long running sketch comedy show. Chappelle has been out of the public eye for a few years now.

He's best known for his television series "Chappelle's Show," which ran for a few years on Comedy Central until the actor abruptly left despite the success and high ratings. The last episode of "Chappelle's Show" aired all the way back in July of 2006.

After Chappelle took a long and unexpected hiatus, he had to deal with a ton of rumors about his stability and mental health. After a number of years, the comedian slowly made his way back into the spotlight.

Chappelle has been doing some stand-up comedy shows throughout the country, but it's been over ten years since he's done anything as big as hosting "Saturday Night Live."

Known to be quite unpredictable, Chappelle will likely bring in a huge number of viewers to this weekend's episode of "SNL." It's anybody's guess as to what he will say about President-elect Donald Trump and the whole election.

Music by...

The musical guest for this week's "Saturday Night Live" is A Tribe Called Quest.

The group is comparable to Chappelle in that they have also been out of the limelight for quite some time. On November 11, A Tribe Called Quest released a new studio album, their first studio release since 1998. What makes this album extra special is that it features some music that includes Phife Dawg, one of the bands original members. Phife Dawg died back in March of this year at the young age of 45.

The rapper was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 1990 and battled the disease bravely for many years while doing what he loved most, which was making music.

It's going to be a big weekend for "SNL." Fans of Chappelle and fans of A Tribe Called Quest will all be tuning in to watch what happens.
