Life as Oliver Queen knows it is over. The 100th episode of “Arrow” is nearly upon us, and it will turn the vigilante’s world upside down and inside out. Stepping onto the Queen’s Gambit ignited the crucible that morphed Oliver (Stephen Amell) from 20-something playboy to hardened hero. As old favorites descend on Star City for the milestone episode, “Arrow” will hit the rewind button. The small act of fate that harbingered the advent of the Green Arrow will fall out of history during “Invasion!

‘Arrow’ turns back the clock

Just as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) explored his deepest desires in “Flashpoint,” Oliver will get a taste of the good life during the third night of The CW’s four-part DC crossover.

“Oliver (Stephen Amell) wakes up to a life where he never got on The Queen’s Gambit. Robert (guest star Jamey Sheridan) and Moira Queen (guest star Susanna Thompson) are alive and well. Laurel (guest star Katie Cassidy) is his loving fiancée and their wedding is imminent,” The CW teased. “Everything seems perfect, but Oliver starts to notice small imperfections that make him question this new reality.”

Don’t worry – Star City won’t remain vulnerable when the Hood puts down his bow.

Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and Team Arrow 2.0 will team up with the heroes of “Supergirl,” “The Flash,” and “Legends of Tomorrow” in an effort to stop the Dominators from whipping meta-humans out of existence.

Is this part of ‘Flashpoint’?

As exciting as “Invasion!” sounds, the description has us wondering if this episode will serve as a flashback to the “Flash” season 3 premiere. The DC TV timelines generally align, but we’re hard-pressed to find a reason why Oliver would be sucked into an alternate life if not for the actions of a familiar speedster.

Perhaps Ollie’s predicament will have something to do with a “Flash” revelation scheduled for the night before “Arrow”’s Nov. 30 “Invasion!” Bearing the same title as its Star City counterpart, the “Flash” crossover episode will feature the reveal of a “shocking secret related to Flashpoint” which leaves the STAR Labs team unsure who they can trust.
