American actress Lisa Lynn Masters has been found dead in a Peru hotel in what is currently believed to have been the result of suicide by hanging.

Suicide-by-hanging suspected

Masters, who was 52 at the time of her death, was believed to have suffered from mental health concerns, such as depression. Anti-depressants and Diazepam, which is used to treat anxiety, were found in her room after her body was discovered, in addition to two letters that reportedly discussed the actress’s condition.

The actress was on a modeling trip in Peru, according to reports, and she is believed to have taken her life inside her registered room at the Nuevo Mundo hotel in Lima.

Reports claim that the body was found hanged within a hotel wardrobe. November 15 is given as her official date of death.

Investigations are currently underway with the Peruvian embassy, according to reports.

Masters’ loved ones have also started a GoFundMe page to help raise money for the funeral, particularly out of a need to transfer the body from Peru back to the United States. The money is also said to help support her husband, William Brooks, a healing arts practitioner. According to a released statement from the page, Masters’ “genuine warmth, generosity and tenacious strength” will not be soon forgotten.
