Bollywood actress shilpa shetty’s father Surrender Shetty passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2016, as he suffered a massive cardiac arrest.He took his last breath at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital at around 9:00 AM. According to the initial reports he suffered a massive heart attack while he was asleep.

The family rushed him to the hospital immediately. He was given immediate medical attention, and despite all efforts, the doctors could not save him and declared him dead.

Funeral attended by many Bollywood celebs:

His funeral took place on Wednesday morning in Mumbai. His demise is a big loss to the family. Shilpa and Shamita both were emotionally very much attached to their father.

Actor Akshay Kumar, filmmaker Karan Johar, writer Salim Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and many others were spotted during the funeral.

He is now survived by his wife Sunanda Shetty and two daughters. He was a person full of life and attended many social gatherings and events with his family. He was a successful businessman, a great father, and a loving husband.

Shilpa was inspired by her father and many times talked about him in her interviews. Once she told that her father was a devoted family man and he even helped her mother during laundry on weekends when she was a kid.

He supported both his daughters to the core. He was seen on “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Reloaded” last season where he had come along with Sunanda and Shilpa to cheer Shamita who was a participant at the show. He also had good relations with many of Shilpa’s co- stars and especially Salman Khan was very close to him.

He was in the news recently as he was duped of a huge amount by a self-styled godman Baba.

Later the family filed a police complaint and got the fraud baba arrested.

The family is in tears and is supported by near and dear ones in this tragic time. Bollywood stars were seen visiting Shetty’s residence in Versova to pay their condolences and attend his last rituals.
