After being held at gunpoint early Monday morning while attending fashion week in Paris, France, Kim Kardashian is "badly shaken" according to her representative.According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reality star's rep remarked in a statement that "Kim Kardashian West was held up at two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed."The reality star was robbed while at her luxury residence in the famed city of lights.The incident reportedly took place between the early morning hours of 2.30-3.00 a.m.

How the attackers were able to get into Kardashian's private residence

It was revealed that five men dressed as police officers attacked the "Keeping up with the Kardashian's" star and tied her up in a bathroom. They then robbed the social media starlet of jewelry worth upwards of $11 million. Published reports have stated that the robbers entered the home where the reality star was residing after threatening a security guard at gunpoint. The guard was later tied up. The robbers then entered Kardashian's room where she was held at gunpoint, tied up and locked in a bathroom until they could make their escape.

The social media starlet and wife to Kanye West was in Paris to attend the Givenchy show with sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian. Her mother Kris Jenner was also in attendance at the show.

Kanye West cuts concert short in New York to fly to Paris

Kanye West was performing at a festival in Queens, New York at the time of the robbery. As soon as he learned of the attack on his wife, he cut short his concert and left the stage to fly to Paris to be with his wife.The promoters of the event which West was a headliner later released a statement regarding the incident."Due to a family emergency, Kanye West was forced to end his performance towards the end of his set.

We appreciate the great show he put on for fans to close out the inaugural Meadows Festival. Our thoughts are with West and his family," the statement revealed.

The mayor of Paris speaks out about the harrowing ordeal

The mayor of Paris has released her own remarks about the incident."I have every confidence in the police to quickly identify and apprehend the perpetrators," said Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo.

The investigation into the attack and robbery of Kim Kardashian remains ongoing.
