“General Hospital” news shows that Morgan Corinthos actor Bryan Craig celebrated his 25th birthday on the set of his new movie “BMX” with co-star Ludacris and director Alex Ranarivelo. Craig tweeted out his thanks to the cast and crew of the new film on his big day.

Bryan Craig has more GH scenes to air

Bryan Craig has a few episodes of GH left that will air in November but he’s completed filming on the ABC soap and is now on set of his new movie. The working title of the film was “Ride” but now seems to have changed to “BMX” and is based on the real-life of cycler John Buultjens.

Morgan's funeral is set for November 11 on “General Hospital” and there are some GH rumors floating that some of Bryan Craig’s final scenes may be at the memorial service, perhaps as an onlooker to his own laying-to-rest event.

This trope has been done by GH before.

Birthday celebration with fiancée Kelly Thiebaud

Bryan Craig’s fiancée Kelly Thiebaud, also an alumn of General Hospital as Britt Westbourne, arrived back in LA just in time to ring in her younger beau’s quarter century milestone birthday after filming a Hallmark Channel movie “A Worthwhile Life” in Salt Lake City. Kelly Thiebaud recently Instagrammed a pic of her younger fiancé twirling her as they celebrated. Another recent pic showed them celebrating her birthday two months ago out with pals. The couple revealed, after Bryan Craig won his Daytime Emmy, that they will wed on March 18, 2017.

What’s next for Morgan and Bryan?

Bryan spent three years in the role of Morgan Corinthos and capped that with his recent Emmy win but it looks like a casting call is already out to replace him. ABC and GH posted a casting notice for a 20-25 year old Caucasian male to play a brooding role. The description neatly summed up Morgan’s character and hints that we’ll see a new Morgan before too long. With Morgan believed dead from a car bomb, it’s the perfect excuse to present a bandaged-up victim and a brand new actor in the role with a set explanation for the new face.

Bryan Craig seems happy to be on set of his new movie and plans to stick to the big screen rather than soaps. Motorcycle flick “BMX” is filming in California and is set for a 2017 release. In addition to Bryan Craig and Ludacris, the film also stars Shane Graham.

“General Hospital” airs weekdays on ABC.
