Ever since Bandai released its new collection of toys called UDMbursts22, the social networks and fan webpages revolted. This collection represents characters from "Dragon Ball Super," and the biggest news is the incorporation of Vegito in Super Saiyan 3 stage. This is emphasized by the fact that some webpages are confirming this character for the next episodes of this future Trunks saga. All this confirms that sometimes merchandising products (such as toys, games and stickers) contribute to spoiling the series.

Furthermore there has leaked a provisional title for episode 66, which we will enjoy in a few weeks, and will surely mark a change in the series' events.

Now, is Vegito’s comeback confirmed? How many things are true about all this merchandising debate?

First, it is true that there have been spoilers from official products of the franchise in the past, even from movies. As an example, this happened with Black, who appeared in a set of official stickers in his Super Saiyan Rose transformation. Another example is Goku and Vegeta’s Super Saiyan Blue transformation before the avant premiere of the movie.

We even got some minor examples, such as the leaking of secondary characters such as the inhabitants of planet Babari, that appeared in a set of cards in "Dragon Ball Heroes" before showing up in the series. Now, the leaking of the title for episode 66 implies a fusion between Vegeta and Goku, or even a triple fusion between the 2 Saiyans, and Trunks (still unclear). As we already said before, we think that in truth Vegeta and Goku will use the fusion, and then Trunks will lend his power to them to further enhance the fusion’s power.

Of course, we have no confirmation of this yet.

Now, returning on topic, this set of toys could imply a spoiler of this character in the series, but we also know that this character has already appeared in games of the franchise in a Super Saiyan 3 stage. On the contrary, none of the characters that appeared in the game with exclusive new transformations (such as Vegeta, Trunks and Gohan in Super Saiyan 3) have appeared in the series.

In conclusion

We think that this set of toys does not confirm Vegito in the series, but he may very well make an appearance.

In fact, it has happened before, in other collections, that no canonical characters appeared but only with commercial intentions. Still, we believe that should Vegito appear in the series, a Super Saiyan Blue transformation would be more appropiate than the Super Saiyan 3 stage. Let’s remember that the Super Saiyan 3 is not ideal for extended battles, since it consumes large amounts of ki. Besides, Super Saiyan Blue is the most powerful transformation nowadays.
