In the latest “DBS” episode, we saw Future Trunks reach a level of power that allowed him to fight against Goku Black and Zamasu. However, it was not of godly caliber like Super Saiyan Blue, and the episode brought into question the validity of the SSB transformation.

Is He Overrated?

Is Super Saiyan Blue overrated? Earlier in “DBS,” Beerus and Whis expressed that the transformation made Saiyans among the strongest beings in the universe, in competition with the gods, due to the god Ki surging through the transformation.

However, if this is the case, then why were Goku and Vegeta easily disposed of twice in their SSB forms?

How was Trunks, who is not an SSB, able to fight against the duo of Goku Black and Zamasu on his own? The latest episode revealed a plot hole in the “DBS” storyline that ultimately destroys any significance the previous transformations (Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3) ever had in the series.

Jobs of the Writers.

It makes no sense for the writers of the show to introduce a concept such as Super Saiyan God and SSB only to knock it down for characters who aren’t even gods.

It’s understandable that Zamasu is immortal and Goku Black can power up from stronger fighters, but if Beerus and Whis’ words had any credibility, the two villains should have been light work for Goku and Vegeta.

It’s important that “DBS’” writers find a way to balance out the power levels for the show. If Super Saiyan Blue is as big of a deal as they say, then these fights have to make sense, and Goku and Vegeta getting their rears handed to them over and over again does not.

In episode 63, fans should learn more about what happened to Trunks, where his power-up came from, and the results of Goku and Vegeta’s training in preparation for Goku Black and Zamasu.
