After the first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump aired Monday night, the topic of the upcoming election spurred divisive opinions among voters and Celebrities. With the presidential nomination on the horizon for either Clinton or TrumpHarry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe shared some thoughts on the potential Republican nominee. 

In response to J.K. Rowling's tweet regarding Donald Trump not being "as bad" as Voldemort, Radcliffe spoke to Sky News at the Empire Live film festival and weighed in on her controversial tweet. 

"I sort of think Donald Trump might not be as ideologically pure as Voldemort," he said.

"My thing on Trump is that he feels like more of an opportunist like I don't know how much of this stuff he's saying he actually, really, really believes."

While Potter fans might have been expecting Daniel Radcliffe to make more humorous comparisons between Trump and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, the Swiss Army Man star only subtly agreed with the Harry Potter author's opinion on Donald Trump's perceived villainy. Radcliffe added that Rowling's comparison "is certainly not without its merits."

Rowling tweets a few more of her own insights on Trump and her allusions to Voldemort. For now, the actor will appear in the action adventure drama Jungle slated for a 2017 release. 

Even if Donald Trump's policies and rhetoric are controversial and divisive enough to warrant a comparison to a fictional villain, it'll be interesting to see if J.K. Rowling or Harry Potter fans will draw any similarities between Clinton and Trump with other characters from the fantasy series. If Trump is Voldemort, could Clinton be Dolores Umbridge?
