After the first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump aired Monday night, the topic of the upcoming election spurred divisive opinions among voters and Celebrities. With the presidential nomination on the horizon for either Clinton or Trump,Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe shared some thoughts on the potential Republican nominee.

In response to J.K. Rowling's tweet regarding Donald Trump not being "as bad" as Voldemort, Radcliffe spoke toSky Newsat the Empire Live film festival and weighed in on her controversial tweet.

"I sort of think Donald Trump might not be as ideologically pure as Voldemort," he said. "My thing on Trump is that he feels like more of an opportunist like I don't know how much of this stuff he's saying he actually, really, really believes."

While Potterfans might have been expecting Daniel Radcliffe to make more humorous comparisons between Trump and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, theSwiss Army Man star only subtly agreed with theHarry Potter author's opinion on Donald Trump's perceived villainy.Radcliffe added that Rowling's comparison "is certainly not without its merits."
