"Dancing with the Stars" contestant and Olympic gold medal winner Laurie Hernandez is "desperate" to meet her celebrity crush Dave Franco, according to her official Us Weekly blog. Hernandez revealed that during her face-off dance against Marilu Henner and Derek Hough, she was intimidated by what she felt was her lack of life experience in order to bring the necessary drama to her Tango with pro-partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

Laurie Hernandez sends shout-out to Dave Franco

Said the Olympian to Us Magazine, "I was a little nervous because she’s [Marilu] so good, and she’s also got so much more life experience than I have, so she's able to show off that emotion.

I’ve never had a boyfriend! And I can’t say, “Ooh! Dave Franco!” because I haven’t met him before. But hint, Dave, if you’re reading this, I really want to meet you! Please come to the show!"

The New Jersey teen represented Team USA for gymnastics alongside fellow gymnasts Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian. The self-named "final five" gymnasts won the overall team gold medal in the sports competition in Rio in the summer of 2016. "Dancing With The Stars" has also given Hernandez an opportunity to meet another idol, singer Tori Kelly. Hernandez said in her blog that she was thrilled to meet the singer and songwriter. "I can’t even talk about meeting Tori Kelly! I had to walk away for a second — otherwise I would have had a heart attack," she said in the blog.

During the October 3 show, the competition will take a challenging turn as celebs and their pro partners will perform to music from popular Cirque du Soleil shows. Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy will dance to a Michael Jackson tune titled “The Way You Make Me Feel" from the show "Michael Jackson One." The remaining 11 couples will perform dances from and inspired by the popular acrobatic experience shows on Monday's live episode of the ABC reality dance competition.

"Dancing with the Stars" airs on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
