Ten favorite professional dancers are gearing up to kick off their "Dancing With The Stars Live!" tour. The tour starts on December 16, 2016. Dancers will stop in 43 United States cities before the tour ends on February 14, 2017 in Costa Mesa, California. This will be Val Chmerkovskiy's fifth consecutive tour.

He said he likes the tours because he gets to dance all the time, and he will continue to do so as long as his body allows him to perform.

Pros traveling with Val

ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" Season 23 will have ended by the time the tour begins. Therefore, the pros are available to travel and do what they love to do. Val will not be joined by his brother Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd because they are expecting their first child together.

Dancers who are joining Val include Lindsay Arnold, Sharna Burgess, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Hayley Erbert, Emma Slater, Gleb Savchenko, Jenna Johnson and Keo Motsepe.

About the dancers

Val Chmerkovskiy won Season 20 of "Dancing with the Stars" with actress Rumer Willis. He has a good chance of winning again this season with Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez because they have been at the top of the leaderboard this entire season. Last week Emma Slater and her partner Rick Perry were the second to be eliminated.

Jenna Johnson just joined the pros this season. Her stay was very short because she and Jake Austin were the first to be eliminated. This is Gleb Shevchenko's second season as a pro. Keo Motsepe has been on "DWTS" for four seasons, but he has never placed higher than sixth place.

Val said the upcoming tour is going to be the best one ever. There will be more performances that are character-driven rather than just moves on the ballroom floor. The pros are excited because they know they are working as a team instead of competing against one another.

Maks' younger brother commented on the female dancers who usually go on tour. He says they usually steal the spotlight because each one brings something different. Tickets are available now for the tour when it comes to your city.
