"Dancing with the Stars" is known for celebrating different themes. Last week was Eras Night when couples performed dances from the 1920s to the 1990s. Those dances included the Charleston, jive, tango, quickstep, foxtrot, samba, rumba, and jitterbug. The previous week was Latin Night when couples performed all Latin dances consisting of the Argentine tango, salsa, Paso Doble, rumba, and the cha cha. Monday night's episode is based on Halloween-inspired dances.

Halloween Night

"Dancing With The Stars" is taking advantage of the fact the ABC popular dance competition show airs on Halloween night, Monday, October 31.

So what are fans to expect? The seven remaining couples will perform dances inspired by Halloween. Not only will they dance, but they also will be in Halloween costumes and masks of all kinds. Expect a lot of painted faces.

James Hinchcliffe with partner Sharna Burgess and Laurie Hernandez with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy will dance a Viennese Waltz. That's interesting because they are the two highest-scoring couples this season. Marilu Henner and Derek Hough will try to avoid elimination by getting a high score when they perform an Argentine tango.Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke are dancing a tango.

Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold will perform a quickstep. Terra Jole and Sasha Farber will cha cha. Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko will perform a jazz routine.

The dancers will also have an extra incentive to do their very best. The twosome with the highest score will get immunity from elimination and five extra points added to their score. The other six couples will either dance the cha cha, salsa or jive in a dance-off.

The winner of each dance-off will get three extra points.

The couple with the highest score of the night will get immunity from being eliminated regardless of last week's scores and viewers' votes. Everyone else is subject to elimination based on judges' scores and viewers' votes from last week's performances. Most people think it is time for Ryan Lochte to hang up his dancing shoes. He has been at the bottom of the leaderboard every single week of the competition.

Watch the Halloween edition of "Dancing with the Stars" at 8 p.m. on ABC to see which couple gets eliminated.
