"Dancing With The Stars" took viewers to the circus on Monday, October 3. Performers from Cirque du Soleil appeared alongside celebrities and their pro partners on the dance floor. Couples had chosen dances with themes from Cirque shows. Therefore, fans got to see circus acts and elegant dancing as well. It was so exciting to see that one couple received a perfect scoreafter performing.

First perfect score

Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy performed a jazz routine to Michael Jackson's song "The Way You Make Me Feel." Laurie said sheis a huge Michael Jackson fan. She revealed that she dressed up twice as the singer for Halloween when she was a child.

Laurie and Val were the first to get a perfect score this season. All three judges gave them the highest possible score of "10." This meant something extra special for Laurie and Val especially since their rehearsal time was limited this week. Laurie took time off to go to the White House to meet with President Obama along with other Olympians. The gold medalgymnast learned her routine by watching videosthat Val sent her.

Judges comments

All three judges gave positivecomments about Laurie and Val's performance. Carrie Ann Inaba compared Laurie to a star being born. Julianne Hough called the gymnast queen of the ballroom.Bruno Tonioli said the dance was stunning. The judges' scores matched what they said.

The 16-year-old and her partner went to the top of the leaderboard with the first perfect score of the season.

On Tuesday's results show, two couples will be eliminated. It is unlikely that it will be Laurie and Val. However, it could be any two of the other couples especially those who ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard and did not get enough viewers' votes.

With so many couples at the middle or bottom of the leaderboard, it is hard to predict who might be eliminated this week. From their conversations, it seems that no one wants to leave the biggest dance floor on television. Watch ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" on Tuesday night, Tuesday, October 4 to see who will be sent home.
