Ever since CL announced her plans for her U.S. debut in 2014, fans around the world have been clamoring for more of the famous Korean rapper. And now, after two long years, CL will finally begin her "HELLO BITCHES 2016" tour at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on October 29th.

Baddest female of Asia

CL (Chae-Lin Lee), nicknamed the “Baddest Female of Asia,” is renowned for her powerful musical presence, whether she’s on the stage or in the recording booth. A singer-songwriter, rapper and dancer, this 24-year-old is also the leader of one of the most prominent k-pop girl groups in the world, 2NE1, who boast multiple chart-topping singles like “Fire” and “I Am the Best.” In 2012, the group was awarded MTV Iggy’s “The Best New Band in the World” due to their amazing performances.

While her official U.S. debut was in 2016, CL has participated in musical and fashion collaborations long before. In 2014, she collaborated with American record producers Skrillex and Diplo, along with fellow YG Entertainment labelmate G-Dragon in the single “Dirty Vibe.” In 2015, she would once again work with Diplo on the song “Doctor Pepper.” Both English singles have extremely successful for CL and would serve as a basis for her later songs.

'Hip-Hop 'Hello Bitches'

Shortly after her collaborations, she signed on with Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber manager Scooter Braun and released hip-hop song “Hello Bitches” with choreography by Parris Goebel and featuring the ReQuest dance crew, ingeniously rapping in both English and Korean. A dance video was uploaded soon afterwards with over 19 million views on Youtube.
