Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell seemed to find a fairy tale ending this past winter on ABC's “The Bachelor” 2016 season, and fans are following along with their continuing love story on their Freeform spinoff show called “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After.” However, new reports are claiming that things aren't quite so rosy behind-the-scenes for this reality television couple. What's the scoop?

What's the latest on wedding plans for the 'Bachelor' duo?

Higgins and Bushnell had said shortly after their “Bachelor” season ended that they were anxious to get married and might even have their wedding before the end of the year.

However, they've slowed things down and more recently said that they are aiming for a 2017 date. They did recently head to Las Vegas to hold bachelor and bachelorette parties, cameras in tow, but so far they haven't pinned down plans beyond that as far as they've revealed.

The "Bachelor" stars did also recently reveal that they have started some couples counseling through their church, indicating that they knew that they had some things to work through ahead of planning a wedding. Viewers of “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After” have seen that this pairing has faced some rough patches, and now Life & Style claims that the couple is only staying together for their television show.

Are Lauren and Ben faking their relationship?

Life & Style says that their sources reveal that Ben and Lauren are only staying together until their show is over and the opportunities dry up.

A supposed insider says that “It's only a matter of time before they officially split,” and claims that Bushnell regrets moving away from California to be with Higgins in Colorado.

These anonymous sources claim that Ben and Lauren are miserable together and that they have nothing in common. Of course, “Bachelor” fans of the duo hope that this is inaccurate, and recent posts of the duo together on vacation would certainly seem to tell a different story. Higgins and Bushnell also recently shared some tidbits with InStyle about the remodeling they've done to his house in Denver to make it more welcoming for her. The new style certainly does reflect her input and taste, a sign that fans would say probably points toward the pair doing fairly well together.

'Bachelor' fans are rooting for Bushnell and Higgins despite the rumors

Fans of “The Bachelor” and the franchise's other shows have certainly learned by now not to rely too much on social media posts for accurate updates about how a couple is doing behind-the-scenes. “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After” has revealed that these two definitely have struggled at times since their season ended, but fans remain hopeful that they are ultimately happy together and will soon tie the knot.

Do you think that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are faking their happiness or is “The Bachelor” couple truly in love and looking forward to a wedding?
