Take heart, Olicity fans. The “Arrow” writers have not forgotten the fan-favorite ’ship, and it seems Oliver and Felicity are ready to address the elephant in the room. The Green Arrow’s new team is up and running, but that doesn’t mean the archer isn’t still haunted by the past (isn’t he always?). While the series has avoided any overt references to the failed relationship, episode 5 will change the game.

Oliver learns of Felicity’s 'Arrow' boyfriend?

Oliver (Stephen Amell) is having trouble moving on from Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), but the latter picked up a new boyfriend over the hiatus. Detective Billy Malone (Tyler Ritter) will play a key role in “Human Target” as he moves closer to the Mayor.

“We haven’t really discussed our relationship yet this season, but Oliver and Felicity discuss a little bit about the relationship, and where it is, in this week’s episode,” Amell teased at EW PopFest on Saturday, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Even if Malone does stay in Felicity’s life, secretly or otherwise, it will take more than a few awkward situations to shatter Olicity’s (platonic, perhaps romantic) relationship.

“Obviously, they work together every week. They’re very close,” executive producer Greg Berlanti added. “I can’t imagine anyone that would ever be in either of their lives that would replace the other person.”

What’s next for Oliver on 'Arrow'?

“Human Target” will bring Christopher Chance (guest star Wil Traval), the episode’s titular character, into the fold. Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), meanwhile, we require a rescue mission if he hopes to survive Tobias Church (Chad L.

Coleman).

“When Tobias Church captures and tortures one of Oliver’s new recruits, Oliver must turn to an old friend, Christopher Chance AKA the Human Target, for help. Meanwhile, Felicity’s worlds collide when Detective Malone joins the ACU.”
