Gretchen Rossi proposed to longtime love Slade Smiley during an episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County season 8 over three years ago, but still, they haven't tied the knot. During a new interview, the former reality star, who also appeared on WEtv's Marriage Boot Camp, is opening up about her ongoing wedding delay.

Speaking to People Magazine earlier this month, Rossi revealed that while she and Smiley are"technically" still planning their destination wedding, they hope to welcome their first child before they say their I do's."Our focus is really on trying to have a baby of our own,"the 37-year-old explained tothe magazine, adding that spending$200,000 on a wedding "right this minute" isn't a priority.

Although Rossi and Smiley have put their wedding plans on hold for now, that isn't to say that they are unsure about tying the knot. In fact, they are completely sold on the idea but want to focus on things that are "a little bit more of a priority" before they make the ultimate commitment. In the meantime, Rossi says that she and Smiley feel like they are already married so rushing down the altar simply isn't at the top of their list.

Gretchen Rossi began dating Slade Smiley eight years ago after losing her former fiance, Jeff, to leukemia. Following the devastatingloss, Rossi and Smiley hit it off after meeting through his former fiancee, Jo de la Rosa, who previously starred on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

A televised wedding is possible

Much of Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley's relationship has been seen on Bravo and WEtv and when it comes to the couple's future on television, they haven't ruled out the idea of sharing their upcoming wedding with their many fans. That said, Rossi does have a few requirements.

"We want it to be very authentic to our love and to how we feel for each other, and I just think that it has to be the right network and the right channel for us to say yes to that," Rossi explained.
