Usher, whose complete name is Usher Terry Raymond IV, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Even though he is just 37, his music career started 25 years ago when he was only 12 years old. His star is in recognition for contributions made all those years in the music and the recording industry. #Usher released his self-titled debut album in 1994 and has released eight more albums since then. In fact, his latest album Hard II Love comes out on September 16. This is his first album since 2012 which includes the singles No Limit and Crash.

About Usher's star

The star for Usher became the 2,588th star located at 6201 Hollywood Blvd. near the intersection of Hollywood & Vine in Los Angeles, California. Producer Ana Martinez welcomed Usher to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. During her remarks, she stated that Usher is one of the most successful artists of our modern music world.  The singer's grandmother and aunt were there to witness the special event. Usher was also joined by his wife of one year, Grace Miguel, and his two sons Usher Raymond V, 8, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, 7, from a previous marriage.

 Fellow singers, Stevie Wonder, Kelly Rowland, Miguel and will.i.am and Usher’s Hands of Stone co-star Edgar Ramirez were at the celebration. Fans of the #singer didn't want to miss a minute of the ceremony. Therefore, some of them began lining up as early as 6 a.m. for the 11:30 a.m. ceremony. In his remarks, Usher said that he didn't get the star alone. It was because of fans, followers, friends and mentors along the way who helped him get it.
